Cold River Blueberry Vodka is made with 100% wild blueberries in the the state of Maine, USA. Cold River Vodka was conceived by brothers Lee and Donnie Thibodeau. Growing up in Presque Isle, the heart of Maine’s potato country, they listened to their father and uncles tell their history of turning potatoes into vodka. However, the realities of tending to the potato crop and the rigors of the annual harvest left little time. After years of thinking of business ideas and talking about the future of Maine’s potato industry, the decision was taken to make the best possible potato based vodka from Maine potatoes. Cold River potatoes are grown at Green Thumb Farms in Fryeburg and they are currently the only distillery in the USA that oversee its entire production – from planting potato seed to bottling vodka. Cold River Blueberry Vodka is made by steeping the Maine blueberries in vodka for days to extract all the precious blueberry flavours. This is then filtered and blended back into the classic Cold River vodka to produce this fantastic homage to Maine blueberries. The blueberries are sourced from Wyman’s of Maine who were founded in 1874 and are still family-owned. They have a long heritage of growing and marketing wild blueberries. Unlike more commercial flavoured vodkas, there are no artificial flavourings or sugar added to this. It is simply a pure and aromatic expression of Maine blueberries and vodka.

Explosive aroma of fresh wild blueberries, truly room-filling and exquisite. Mouthfeel is fresh and satiny. Entry is floral without being perfumy, fruity without being at all sweet. Very dry finish, smooth and complex. Lowbush Maine blueberries for miles and miles. Perfect in a Blueberry Cosmo or Blueberry Lemonade.
