Sapling Vermont Maple liqueur is made with a blend of what they describe as "refined ultra-pure spirits" (which we take to mean grain alcohol) and Vermont Grade-A maple syrup. They call the liqueur "rich and full bodied" providing "the quintessential Vermont taste."

Saxton's River Distillery is owned by Christian Stromberg, descended from a Russian family who immigrated to the United States in 1906 and brought the craft of making liqueurs with them. The distillery is dedicated to producing liqueur based upon a blend of Vermont ingredients and "old world heritage."

"This liqueur is rich and full bodied, but the sweetness is not overpowering. It is a refined sweetness unique to maple sugar. We are fortunate to have such exceptional maple syrup available to us."
