Jesse James Premium Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is made in the spirit of America's outlaws. Charcoal mellowed and aged in traditional oak casks to achieve an incredibly smooth, full-bourbon character, this is a modern take on an American classic for the rebel in all of us.

The bourbon itself is aged for 3 years in American oak prior to bottling and is said to be made in accordance with what they claim are standards of the 18th century southern states.The label itself is commissioned by Jesse James Dupree from the band Jackyl, who claims that having been "personally responsible for millions of gallons of beer and whiskey" over the years, he created his own label for beer and whiskey.

While the marketing website (as of December 2011) claims that the whiskey is distilled in Kentucky, it is listed with the Tax and Trade Bureau with LeVecke in California, whom we've listed here as the producer. This is not uncommon in the industry and not a knock on the spirit--we take it to mean the distillate comes from Kentucky where the bourbon is blended and bottled in California for sale. The label itself is owned and managed by Jesse James Spirits.
