#Lecompte  Calvados 12 years old shows deep dark amber color. Bold aromas of roasted nuts, crushed apples, cocoa, and clay. A rich, round entry leads to a dryish medium-full body of butter praline, baked apple tart, buckwheat honey, cigar box, peppery spice, and minerals. Finishes with a long dried apple skin, anise, tobacco and olive fade. A spectacularly complex and balanced Calvados to contemplate and savour.
