Hailing from a hillside distillery in North West Oregon, Henry DuYore's Straight Bourbon Whiskey is handcrafted in small batches on a Pruehlo Cognac copper pot still. While the mash contains enough corn for the spirit to qualify as a bourbon, it contains a higher level of rye and a liberal amount of barley, which lends complexity to the aromatics and adds weight to the palate. Matured for a minimum of four years in new American oak, with a percentage finished in French oak barrels, Henry DuYore's Straight Bourbon Whiskey offers a pronounced nose of caramel, vanilla and cedar with an undercurrent of spice. Complex notes of dried fruit, toffee, citrus and baking spice emerge on the medium-bodied palate and linger through the long finish.
