The Casamigos brand is in fact the consequence of many a night of tequila drinking. However at its heart is a firm friendship between actor George Clooney, Mike Meldman who was his co-star in the movie Oceans 13, and business man and former model Rande Gerber.

Created with a desire to create a supremely smooth tequila that required no salt or lime Casamigos was originally destined to be ‘just a house-made tequila’ to be enjoyed only by those who had created it .

Over a period of years and working alongside their Master Distiller in Jalisco, Mexico and coming together frequently to carry out blind tasting sessions they were never satisfied until they had all agreed it was perfect. Having succeeded in their quest, Casamigos was the only tequila to be served in their own homes where friends, family and tequila connoisseurs alike all loved it. Perhaps it was inevitable then that Casamigos tequila would be in such great demand. The rest, as they say is history.

Produced only in very small batches Casamegos Añejo is created using only 100% Blue Weber agaves grown in the red clay soil of Jalisco where the climate is cool. Once harvested the piñas are roasted slowly over for 72 hours in traditional brick ovens before the juices are fermented over 80 hours using a proprietary yeast blend. To create Casamigos Añejo’s unique, consistent and incredibly refined flavor and character profile it is oak barrel aged over 14 months.

Utterly sophisticated in its complexity it is luxuriously sweet. Aromas of smooth caramel enveloped with the delicate softness of vanilla. Creating an impeccable balance of sweetness, the flavor of the Blue Weber agave is layered through with the most exquisite and enticing hints of spice and woody barrel oak. These stick around for the finale, utterly smooth and incredibly lingering.
